We saw great success with our first CS:GO tournament for iGaming companies at the Nova Series #2 event in April. We’ve now decided to host yet another gaming tournament. Once again we’re working with our friends at Quickfire and will be hosting the tournament at the upcoming Nova Series #3. The event will take place 24-26 August.

The tournament will be played on the main stage of the Nova Series at the Intercontinental Arena in St Julians. All matches will be streamed on Twitch with professional casters.

This is a great opportunity for your employees to have a strong team-building experience. As a bonus you will also get some visibility towards the esports audience. The event is free to visit as a spectator, so bring the rest of your colleagues to cheer your team to victory!

Last time around we had teams from Unibet, Redbet, Tipico and Casumo on the operator side, as well as Catena Media on the affiliation side. Unibet ended up bringing home the trophy after an intense final against Redbet. Now you have the chance to have your company hoist the trophy!

We’re hoping for more companies to participate with teams this time around, as we at least have a little bit more time for planning. All companies with a tie to the iGaming industry are welcome.

We will also host a pre-party at the Eden Superbowl on Wednesday 22 August for a chance to do some networking for people involved and/or interested in esports within iGaming.

Tickets are €750 per team. A team is made up of 5 players, and we also reserve an extra spot for a substitute player.
Each player will also be awarded a space at the LAN event where they can bring their own computer setup.

Tournament structure

The four teams will play a Bo2 round robin structure.
Potential tie-breakers will be played according to need on Sunday morning.
Top 2 teams will play a final Bo5 on Sunday, 12.00pm.

Tournament schedule

Tournament rules

All players should be part of a clan, and have a clan tag representing their company.
Players are not allowed usernames or item nametags that could be deemed offensive.
If a team is not present within 5 minutes of scheduled start-time, they will forfeit the match.

Game rules

Each map will consist of two (2) 15-round halves. A team wins if they reach 16-round wins in the second half. If after 30 rounds the score of a game is tied, overtime will be played.
Overtime will consist of two (2) 3-round halves. Each player starts the overtime half with $10,000.
Overtime will end if a Team reaches four-round (4) wins in the same overtime. If the score of an overtime is tied after six rounds, another overtime will be played.

Map selection

Only current Active Duty Maps will be available for the tournament.
Maps will be selected by alternate banning of maps until three maps remains. Then teams choose one each out of the remaining.

The teams will be offered practice time at the Eden Esports Centre (located inside Eden Superbowl), where they can get their team synergy going in preparation for the tournament. Practice will be subject to availability, and reservations can be made with Quickfire either through their facebook page.
