Major Update
- This update is one of the biggest patches Deadlock has released. Valve finally introduced Ranked mode.
- Valve is currently experimenting with a different approach to Ranked mode. There is a specific time window where players can queue for Ranked games. Since Deadlock is a fairly new game, it is understandable that Valve will minimize queue times by implementing Ranked time windows for different regions.
- As of now, the Ranked queue will only be solo. The Ranked mode will be open from 1 pm-4 pm and 7 pm-10 pm in the respective time zones every day.
- For you to be eligible to play Rank, you have to play 50 normal games. Additionally, you are not allowed to enter this mode if you have any behavior-related restrictions (voice/text bans, report misuse, etc.)
- Ranks are called medals. There are a total of 11 medals with 6 levels each. You will be queued with players of the same medal. Everyone’s medals and levels will be displayed during ranked games.
General Changes
- There are General changes to the game such as adding Quick Cast. This is one of the most used casting modes in Dota 2. Now that Deadlock has implemented the same mode, it will be a lot quicker for players to cast their abilities.
- The game now allows swapping players on both teams during private lobbies. In addition, players and lanes can be shuffled within the teams. “Allow Duplicate Heroes” is also added to the setting in Private Lobbies.
- Also, you are not allowed to use pause in the first three minutes of the game. In the drafting stage, Ivy and Dynamo now have a higher priority at being in dual lanes.
