Format
With regards to format, firstly there’s a new qualifier system to consider – two open qualifiers. Otherwise, the best-placing Trios from the 3 Majors earn spots at the FNCS Global Championship. In addition, the 2025 iteration features Trios and not Duos.
Unlike last season, the tournament will not feature multiple stages of competition. Instead, all 33 trios start in the Grand Finals. Here, 12 games are spread over two days, with 6 games daily.
Of note, the Scoring System differs in each set of six games, such as Elimination Points bumping up from 4 to 6 in the second half – let’s compare placement points for the top 10 teams:
Ranking | Game 1-6 Placement Points | Game 7-12 Placement Points |
---|---|---|
1st | 65 | 100 |
2nd | 56 | 84 |
3rd | 52 | 78 |
4th | 48 | 72 |
5th | 44 | 66 |
6th | 40 | 60 |
7th | 38 | 57 |
8th | 36 | 54 |
9th | 34 | 51 |
10th | 32 | 48 |
Accordingly, for anyone live betting, the second half of the competition is almost twice as important as the first.
Indeed, the Grand Final presents the best Fortnite betting odds.

History of the FNCS Global Championship
Ever since 2022, Epic Games has created the FNCS Global Championship to establish a post-season title for players to work towards.
Prior to 2022, competitions were regional and online, following the inaugural iteration of the Fortnite World Cup.
Here’s a look at the short history of the FNCS Global Championship:
Iteration of FNCS Global Championship | Winner | Runner-Up |
---|---|---|
2024 | Peterbot + Pollo | Queasy + Th0masHD |
2023 | Cooper + Mero | Kami + Setty |
2022 Invitational | Setty + Kami | Veno + Queasy |
Considering that hundreds of competitors compete, it’s impressive to see a Duo named twice in the top 2, namely Setty and Kami.
Otherwise, the best Fortnite players attend, so predictions can be difficult.
