  • Twenty-four teams, divided into three groups of eight teams each.
  • Eighteen matches are played across the three-day period in a round-robin format.
  • The top sixteen teams advance to the Last Chance stage, while the bottom eight teams are eliminated.

History of PUBG Mobile Global Championship

Here’s a look at how the competition has stacked up in past iterations of the event:

2020Nova EsportsFour Angry Men

In truth, any team on that list has at least some chance of winning the tournament, but there are certainly some teams that are stronger than others. Moreover, history has educated us on the idea that Asia seems to be the top region for competition PUBG Mobile, fielding the best PUBG players.

Since the first iteration in 2020, which originally was inspired by a similar event hosted for PUBG (non-mobile), PMGC has grown massively.

So much so, that back in 2022, the prize pool soared to $4,000,000 with an accompanied breakthrough viewership for the esport.

Now in 2023, the prize pool may be slightly lower, while the organizers focus on improving the outstanding global representation with the PUBG Mobile Global Championship event is known for.

Throughout the season, PUBG Mobile esports is streamed on a multitude of platforms – looks like that seems to be the case for PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023. Here’s an example of an English-speaking broadcast:
