Worlds Swiss Stage Round 5 Odds & Match Previews
LoL Worlds betting odds provided by GG.Bet on Oct. 28.
Dplus KIA (3.09) vs KT Rolster (1.35)
- After a stop-start Worlds run so far, DplusKIA has their best performance yet when they knocked out GAM Esports in the last round.
- KT Rolster can feel incredibly hard done by having had hugely difficult draws so far, and that bad luck has continued into their do-or-die draw against DK.
- Though KT are the favourites on paper, the side has been notorious for failing to live up to expectations and their fans will be hesitant to expect too much from them here.
- Prediction: Dplus KIA 2-0 KT Rolster
G2 Esports (4.91) vs Bilibili Gaming (1.16)
- After a strong start to Swiss, G2’s fortunes have dwindled and they’ll be licking their wounds after a shock defeat to North America’s NRG.
- BLG has so far only lost to favourites JDG and three-time winners T1, so won’t be lacking confidence even though their one loss from elimination.
- BLG will be the clear favourites, but G2 can never be counted out as they’ve shown to be the only Western team capable of causing upsets against Asian sides throughout the years.
- Prediction: G2 Esports 2-1 Bilibili Gaming
Fnatic (5.72) vs Weibo Gaming (1.12)
- Fnatic has so far only beaten relatively weak opposition in the form of GAM Esports and Cloud9 at this tournament, so they’ll need to finally step it up against stronger opposition to avoid elimination.
- Weibo was upset by G2 earlier in the Swiss stage but has made light of other Western opponents NRG and Fnatic.
- Weibo’s notorious top laner TheShy facing an international rookie in Oscarinin is a mismatch that Fnatic will hope doesn’t prove costly.
- The LPL fourth seed come into the series as clear favourites and Fnatic fans can have little complaints is their team isn’t able to make it through.
- Prediction: Weibo Gaming 2-0 Fnatic
