Worlds Swiss Stage Round 4 Odds & Match Previews
LoL Worlds betting odds provided by Betway on Oct. 9.
Dplus KIA (2.80) vs Top Esports (1.38)
- DK have had easy opponents in their wins, so make it to the qualification series without disproving those that don’t see them as an elite team
- TOP looked very solid in their win over T1, and a loss to MSI holders GEN shouldn’t knock their confidence
- While DK may scrape a map win, TOP should be able to take the series
- Prediction: TOP win 2-1 (3.10)
Hanwha Life Esports (1.03) vs FlyQuest (9.00)
- HLE are extremely heavy favourites and realistically shouldn’t have much difficulty sweeping FQ
- FQ’s incredibly long odds make for an interesting punt – bigger upsets have happened in the past
- Prediction: HLE 2-0 win (1.28)
G2 Esports (2.80) vs T1 (1.38)
- G2 took their first elite scalp by beating WBG, now they will fancy their chances against T1
- T1 are favourites as Worlds holders and looked solid beating a tournament favourite in BLG, but they’re shaky at times
- In a classic Worlds matchup, I think G2 can give T1 a painful memory for Worlds once again
- Prediction: G2 2-1 win (4.40)
Bilibili Gaming (1.05) vs PSG Talon (7.50)
- A loss for BLG would be disastrous, anything but a dominant win would raise questions after their T1 loss
- PSG have upset factor with international veteran Maple, but shouldn’t come near to overcoming BLG
- Prediction: BLG 2-0 win (1.28)
Weibo Gaming (1.28) vs Fnatic (3.30)
- WBG is the weakest LPL/LCK team, but coming from China always makes them favourites against a Western team
- FNC have their best chance for an LPL/LCK upset win but there are signs of a disgruntled squad after Jun raised questions over the draft after their TES loss
- WBG should still win, but can expect to scrap for it
- Prediction: Weibo 2-1 win (1.95)
Team Liquid (1.26) vs GAM Esports (3.40)
- Previously hailed as the West’s best macro team, TL were extremely unconvincing in their elimination win over PNG.
- GAM didn’t particularly impress when they knocked out MDK
- TL’s skill difference should win out, but the lack of convincing form for either teams means a close series is on the cards
- Prediction: TL 2-1 win (3.10)
