Format and Schedule
From 8th November to 12th November, there are two stages of competition to look forward to.
First, a Group Stage has the teams split into two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups between 8-9th November with a familiar format used in other CS2 tournaments:
- Two groups of four teams each
- Opening matches are BO1, and the following matches are BO3
- Group Stage Winners advance to the Semifinals
- Group Stage Runners-Up advance to the Quarterfinals as High Seeds
- Group Stage 3rd place advance to the Quarterfinals as Low Seeds
Once the top 6 teams are in the Playoffs, a BO3 single-elimination bracket between 11-12th November crowns a new Asia Championships Winner.

History of CS2 Asia Championship 2023
Iteration of CS Asia Championship | Winner | 2nd Place |
---|---|---|
2018 | Natus Vincere | Virtus.pro |
2019 | mousesports | ENCE |
2023 | TBD | TBD |
The vision for the CS Asia Championship has always remained consistent – pitting some of the best Counter-Strike teams against the best which Asia has to offer at an Asian Venue with a live crowd.
Throwing up an exciting prize pool, starting with a generous $300,000 in 2018, the new event series from Perfect World was very successful from the start. Moreover, in 2018, Chinese representative TYLOO managed to break through to the Semifinals.
Carrying this momentum into 2019, $500,000 were thrown up and the event was hosted with exactly the same parameters and venue. Once again, at this event, TYLOO managed to make it to the Semifinals, but sadly no further.
Now, with the 2023 iteration on the horizon, the event returns after 3 years of hiatus. In addition, the event is one of many to kickstart the launch of CS2 over CSGO.
Will an Asian team win the CS2 Asia Championships this year? Similar to previous iterations, it’s unlikely for any Asian teams to win considering the strength of the international competition invited as predicted by the best CS2 gambling sites.
