Ubisoft’s new shooter is already critically acclaimed and has a fully functioning ranked mode; here’s all the XDefiant ranks so far.
XDefiant Ranked play is only available for a tester Season 0. The official rank emblems have been shown as well as the expected map modes, however not even the full names of the ranks has been confirmed. What we do know is that Top 500 ranked players will receive their own special emblem / tier. Similar to games like Overwatch.
XDefiant Ranks
While “playable”, Season 0 only features semi organized public 4v4 games. With this game not proudly toting the oddly controversial “skill based matchmaking” (SBMM), this can lead to some wide skill disparities. However, without actual ranks on the line, it doesn’t seem to matter that much.
How many ranks are there in XDefiant?
Right now the rank names have yet to be confirmed, however there are 7 total emblems for ranked. We anticipate the first 3 ranks being named Bronze, Silver, Gold. Based on the emblem crystals you could also guess that “Ruby, Emerald and Diamond” are the final 3 ranks before the final one. Which will either be its own Master equivalent rank with a separate top 500, or is the Top 500 emblem. This would put the number of ranks at either 6 + Top 500, or 7, with Top 500 mixed in.
Here is a temporary list we will adjust once the rank names become official:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Ruby
- Emerald
- Diamond
- Master
How does Ranked work?
Ranked will feature 4v4. The trial run currently has the Occupy, Domination, Escort and Zone Control in both XDefiant game modes.
The XDefiant maps in rotation are: Arena, Attica Heights, Dumbo, Echelon HQ, Emporium, Liberty, Mayday, Meltdown, Midway, Nudleplex, Pueblito, Showtime, Times Square.
We’d expect the Season 1 ranked settings to be the same as the current trial run. Likely with the fully named ranks being implemented.
