The 24-year-old has taken advantage of Sonix’s speed to dominate tournaments. He’s fantastic at applying pressure and making sure opponents have nowhere to go. Over the years, he’s grabbed some huge wins in Smash esports tournaments like Get on My Level 2023, and 2nd at S Factor 11 up against most of the Ultimate players on this list.
8. Glutonny

Up next we’ve got another player who dominates games of Ultimate, Glutonny. He’s been competing since he was just 13 and made an impressive name for himself in Brawl, then Wii U, and now climbing the ranks in Ultimate.

He’s the first European to win a Major for Ultimate along with other games, undisputedly the king of Wario. Glutonny has taken Major titles in all competitive territories, even winning at Japanese events. The player is still climbing the rankings too. He could be higher in the list of best Smash players in the future.

Winning Smash Ultimate Summit in 2022, he went on to take Collision too. In 2023 he won Smash Factor X, Delfino Maza, Luminosity Let’s Make Moves Maimi, and Watch the Throne.
Sparg0 is one of the strongest players we’ve seen in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. A favorite with the “best” Smash Bros odds at a lot of events, he’s a little further down this list thanks to considering Melee at the same time, but Sparg0 is in competition for the number 1 spot.

2. Mang0

The last of our picks from Melee for the best Smash Bros players is Mang0. If you’re heavily considering the past of the game, he’s a lot of people’s personal pick for the best Smash Bros players. He’s one of those Melee gods who still manages to compete, while not on the very top of his game anymore some of his achievements have never been matched.
Mang0 is the one of only a handful of players to win EVO more than once for Smash. Something that can never be repeated thanks to EVO’s sale to Sony and the removal of Smash Bros from EVO.
Mang0 still competes in melee, not stepping away from the game. He’s even managed to stick in the top handful of spots in the rankings. He’s one of the Melee players who helped build the meta to what it is, but has managed to stay on top of all the developments since.
